SMACC Global Summit (October 16-17)
The Social Media Animal Cruelty Coalition (SMACC) Global Summit is the first international event focused exclusively on addressing the rise of animal cruelty content on social media platforms. The Summit brings together animal protection organizations, social media platforms, law enforcement, policymakers, and online safety experts to collaborate on global solutions to this urgent digital threat.
We aim to:

Advance global efforts to end online animal cruelty and improve online safety for both animals and people

Facilitate cross-sector collaboration to influence platform policies and enforcement

Share insights from social media companies and develop strategic responses through workshops, panel discussions, and focus groups

Strengthen global networks and inspire collective action
DACC Regional Event (October 18)
The Dog and Cat Coalition (DACC) Regional Event centers on local solutions for companion animal issues and build lasting impact. This workshop brings together different voices and perspectives to best address dogs and cats issues in Indonesia.
Our goals are to:

Empowers NGOs and veterinarians to recognize illegitimate dog and cat rescue scams on social media, understand the role of vets in these scams, and protect NGOs identity and data from misuse.

Encourage One Health approach to handle dog and cat welfare issues by supporting collaboration between stakeholders (local NGOs, veterinarians, and policymakers).

Build stronger connections between grassroots organizations, veterinarians, and policymakers to work towards sustainable changes together.
By combining global collaboration with regional action, this event serves as a platform to build long-term strategies that protect animals online and on the ground.

The SMACC Global Summit & DACC Regional Event 2025 is a free-of-charge event. However, due to limited venue capacity, we require all attendees to register in advance. Your registration helps us plan effectively and ensure every available seat is given to someone committed to attending.

If you’ve registered but are no longer able to join us, please cancel your registration by September 25, 2025, at the lates.
