One Life
At the core of all animal protection issues is the human behavior towards them.
Changing human behavior requires knowledge of animals as individuals, their capacity for sentience and how animals as individuals would choose to live their lives.
We are happy to introduce One Life, a database of education resources which NGOs can use to promote concepts of animal sentience at the deepest level, to help new generations understand the ways in which animals share many cognitive and emotional abilities as well as needs with humans, and therefore, why they deserve our respect and protection.
AfA wishes to develop One Life further. Click here to discover how your support can drive meaningful change in making animal sentience training widely available.

AfA wishes to develop One Life, a program instigated by Animals Asia which provides education about animal sentience, encourages contemplation, insights and develops more consciousness practitioners who work in our movement.
Although Animal Sentience training is a fairly new concept, our members have long shown interest in the development of an educational arm of the AfA Coalition. Many would like to present concepts like animal sentience to their followers, and have requested a centralized, shared collection of resources freely available for NGOs across the region to adapt and use.
We are in a unique position to:
-
train our members to deliver effective sessions in their own region with a culturally contextual consideration;
-
provide a bank of education and awareness resources for animal advocacy organizations in Asia;
-
maintain a bird’s eye view of the available resources and activities and identify opportunities to connect;
-
keep a finger on the pulse in this area of animal protection.
One Life will facilitate human behavior change by developing and providing educational tools that enhance understanding of animal behavior and sentience.
