AfA opposes wild macaque capture & export from Philippines

Authorities in Manila are considering issuing permits that would allow the capture of many thousands of wild long-tailed macaques to serve increasing demand for animal testing. They have cited human-macaque conflict in certain areas as a justification for this initiative. Our letter points out the many animal welfare and conservation concerns around this issue and implores them to desist.
